The week long festival includes a wide variety of events.  There are music events, new foods to try, dancing and a complete Viking Village to visit.

The Viking Festival got off to a great start on 1 September with a parade through Largs. The Chair of the Town Twinning Association took part in the procession even though he had forgotten his horns.  Perhaps next year Richard.

You can’t beat an ice cream after a battle.

Some Vikings of the traditional variety met up with some modern day Vikings from Scandinavia.

Madam Pauline Hunter of Hunterston, Chief of Clan Hunter took part in the opening ceremony.
